PBI evaluated several alternatives for the intertie between the Arden system and the City of Sacramento using criteria that addresses several system requirements and prioritizes the recommendations for improvements to the Arden system. The proposed improvements for the intertie between the Arden system and the City included:

• Flowmeter
• Automatic Valving
• SCADA Monitoring
• Booster Pump Station

The proposed alternative provides the most cost-effective way to introduce purchased surface water into the Arden system. In addition, PBI analyzed the required environmental and permitting requirements for the project, provided design specifications and standards, and created a project implementation plan.
